Hip-Hops controversy king 50 Cent is at it again. Set to release the mix-tape "Big 10" which commemorates the 10th anniversary of his "50 Cent is The Future" mix-tape released in 2002. This mix-tape which will obviously feature 10 tracks will also have a video for each one according to 50 Cent. He's been in the media a lot lately, I knew it was for a reason. I expect his fifth album to come out around the time Floyd Mayweather and Pacquiao fight happens.
Also peep the ill graphic work on the cover. Taking courses at a graphic design college would definitely benefit anyone who is working on this production.
“I’m shooting videos for every song on the tape. The BIG 10 I got something for a haters ass it called hits lol #SK,” - 50 Cent

The most recent tweet from R&B singer, Iman Omari tonight, was that he will be pushing back his album Energy's release until 12:30am. I forgot to mention that it is Iman's birthday as well, so be sure and wish the Los Angeles native a '#DestDay'. I'm referring to his movement that he is apart of known as #DEST. Brought to you by the LA crew Overdoz. Don't question, just accept it...It's the end of the post and the album is available now. This is by far the hottest album I have heard in a while. Iman your vocals are so on point my friend. When you combine it with his hypnotic production, you have nothing short of amazing.
The days go by, new artists come and go, but I still continue to find diamonds in the rough. Niko Villamor is that 'diamond'. Last month I was catching up on news from our favorite affiliate 2WhiteGirlz.com, and they had a feature with Niko. Of course I checked it out, and I'm oh so thankful. Niko's latest mixtape 'Inertia' is showing up all over the place. Niko had this to say on his Tumblr the day he released Inertia...
"It’s finally here. I recorded this during the first week of July and decided to drop it on my birthday. My computer crashed and I had to re record all of the records besides “The Unknown”, but I still dropped it on my birthday because I wasn’t going to let anything stop me from doing so…."
Interesting. That's true art. Dude is mad talented. Next In Show presents to you an Exclusive Interview with Niko Villamor.
First I would like you to give a brief background of your career in music?
I'm pretty much an outsider. I was signed to a company called noontime a little while back that managed Lloyd (the R&B singer) but for the most part I have been on the outer rings of "the industry".
What is your nationality?
I'm American, but my mother is Black and my father is White and Filipino.
What music did you listen to as a young Niko?
My moms was always playing Madonna and U2 around the house, and my father was playing a whole lot of Jazz, and I was playing a lot of R&B. But during these times I never thought I'd be doing music so I was just a fan.
What music do you listen to today?
I still listen to a lot of the same music now, I would just say that it has expanded more. I also have gone back to listen to groups that I missed. Like The Smiths for example.
A lot of people don't know this, but you are a ATL rapper. Were you born in Atlanta?
Nah. I was born in Berkeley CA, and then I moved to San Francisco. When my parents split up I landed in Atlanta with moms.
Does the south influence your music at all?
Definitely. If it wasnt for Atlanta I wouldn't be making music period. Inertia might not have the "standard" southern sound, but I carry the south with me at all times. I carry the west as well. Pieces of each culture is the reason I am what I am today.
What was it like growing up?
Growing up in San Fran was interesting because it's like a huge melting pot. For an extreme example, it felt like everyone there could say "Nigga" regardless of race and everyone was cool with it. And then transitioning to Georgia where it felt like nobody could say it outside of black people was a real culture shock to me. Opened my eyes a lot.
Inertia is the album out now. A very artistic project. I view it as a raw series of paintings? What inspired you in creating the album?
Pain. Hurt. Loss. The desire to be great. The urge to keep fighting regardless the circumstance. I had to lose certain people in order to create this project. I guess you could say it wasn't completely by choice either. The production that pro created meshed perfectly with what I was trying to express.
Is that a real black eye on the cover?
I'll never tell.
Have you ever been in a fight?
Quite a few.
...And there you have it. Niko Villamor Unplugged. Until #nextinshow time
Nicki Minaj has let the world know that her new sophomore album will be titled PINK FRIDAY: ROMAN RELOADED. If you don't know who Roman is I suggest you go listen to THIS SONG. With that said, if this album is anything like her alter ego "Roman" on her Roman's Revenge track then this should be HOT. I'm talking maybe even HOTTER than some of her other Cash Money Record buddies. I say that with confidence. I know we will bee listening to the new album and OF COURSE expect the Full Album review of PINK FRIDAY: ROMAN RELOADED in February. Also, according to CEO "Baby" we should be on the lookout for a single before the end of 2011 from MS. Minaj.
Lil Kim announced via Twitter today that she is indeed releasing a 5 Track EP for the Christmas Holidays. According to Kim it's supposed to be a sample of what we all should expect in 2012. Hmmm... I'm not sure what she's done recently to make us believe this EP will "reinvent herself" or show what we've been missing after years and years but hey, it's worth a shot. I just hope it's not all about Nicki Minaj, who is also planning releasing her Sophmore Album next year.
We here at #nextinshow know the whole world loves Justin Bieber, but before Bieber there were a group of 4 crooners known as Boyz II Men. I guess it's never to late for the Men to work with Boyz, in this case everything went PERFECT. Enjoy
Well today was full of good times, family, and The Weeknd releasing a late music visual for the track The Knowing, off his debut album House Of Balloons. The concept is interesting and fresh to begin with. Created by visionary Mikael Colombo, the concept is a sci fi battle of the sexes, futuristic experience. The Weeknd and Lamar of XO crew are actually featured in the visual, or at least high quality animated characters. You must watch this film in HD. Enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving from #nextinshow
It hasn't been confirmed yet, but Radiohead has been highly rumored to headline Coachella in 2012. Goldenvoice, the company which hosts the festival, has decided to plan a 2 weekend event. 2-weekends/6 days of music and madness. It is still unclear if same bands/set list will be duplicated for both weekends. No Doubt is another "Return of the Rockstars" band that is rumored to make an appearance at the festival. Radiohead has just released their US & Europe Tour Dates. I think this is where the rumors began.

If you haven't heard by now, the west coast is running hip hop right now. It's all thanks to artists like Coolroy who make this possible. Although not a newcomer to music, Coolroy aka Lite aka Charlie has got much recognition from his remix of the Frank Ocean hit, We All Try released earlier last year. We caught up with Coolroy in the studio recently for an exclusive interview. #nextinshow
Supported by the Galaxc Kidz x Airplain Mode movement Kid Boogie just got a deal with Interscope Records and will be releasing his debut album entitled ‘The Night Still Young‘ coming sometime in 2012. The SoCal native’s new single “Cocky” features fellow GKZ member Y.A. and is produced by Remidi… Check out the exclusive interview with Kid Boogie.
Wowsas... Guess what people? Our beloved vampires, humans, werewolves and vampire baby mamas have done it again. TwilightBreaking Dawn Part 1. raked in chedda for their opening Thursday/Friday nights, respectively 71.4 Million. Which according the pros is estimated to bring in $140 or more million for the vampire saga. This number being as huge as it is however doesn't have the power to beat the Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, but should come close or pass 2009's New Moon.
Sadly this leaves no room for any competitors from last week and DEFINITELY not any from the New competitors this week. Here's how they panned out last week's Immortal's which I saw and thought had some very, very impressive fighting. Mickey Rourke was a true animal in the movie and showed the world he is truly a versatile actor. However, the saddest story goes to Happy Feet 2. Taking in only 6 million so far, not on track to beat their first installments numbers but enough to be #2 in the box office.
So what else is new you ask? Somebody's got baby mama drama
Mobb Deep has been out of sight since their last album was released on G-Unit records, Blood Money back in 2006. Since then, Prodigy served some time in prison for a gun possession charge, and Havoc went on to release his solo album The Kush, then stepped back for a minute. 5 years later, the Queensbridge mobsters are back together releasing an EP for the very first time in their career. Black Cocaine is the same raw street music that the Infamous Mobb has been making since their debut as young teenagers. Dirty east coast production provided by Havoc like always, but also includes co-production from Alchemist, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League and new to the game, Young Free. The whole EP is a must-listen, but stand out tracks are the title track Black Cocaine, Get It Forever (Feat. Nas), and Last Days.Mobb Deep will respectively release the Black Cocaine EP on November 25, Black Friday.
Tyler, The Creator has had tremendous success as a solo artist and alongside his crew Odd Future. Goblin sold thousands of units with almost no promotion. None was needed because Odd Future took the world by storm. Coming off a World Tour, U.S. Tour and recently spending a weekend with OF in Brazil, Tyler settles down back home in Los Angeles, and prepares to release his forthcoming album Wolf. It was officially announced earlier this week. If your expecting Wolf to be the same horror-filled, bitch slap as Goblin, then you will be dissapointed.
Earlier today Tyler Tweeted This along with a link to this.
Here is what Tyler had to say about his new music in an interview with SPIN.
“Talking about rape and cutting bodies up, it just doesn’t interest me anymore… What interests me is making weird hippie music for people to get high to. With Wolf, I’ll brag a little more, talk about money and buying shit. But not like any other rapper, I’ll be a smart-ass about it. Now it’s just girls throwing themselves at me and shit, but I got a girl back home. People who want the first album again, I can’t do that. I was 18, broke as fuck. On my third album, I have money and I’m hanging out with my idols. I can’t rap about the same shit.”
Wolf will be released sometime in May 2012. Until then, OFWGKTA. #nextinshow
TYLER performs with FRANK OCEAN at EL REY show NOV. 15
In the 90's, Jerry Seinfeld & Larry David created a television show, Seinfeld, which revolutionized comedy in prime time television. Now 20 years later Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, and Anders Holm keep the legacy going. With their own production company behind them Mail Order Comedy, they are the predominant writers and stars of the sensational comedy series on Comedy Central, Workaholics.
The synopsis of the show is that Blake, Adam, and Anders play three recent college graduates, roommates, and co-workers at a telemarketing company. The shows title, Workaholics, is intended as irony. The shows material has to do with everything a mid 20's human goes through today, but gets great laughs when resurrecting old sayings or television shows from when we were growing up. Wrapping up it's second season on Nov. 22 on Comedy Central, the crew has already signed on for a third season. Great work guys. looking forward to every episode.
Well after his last attempt in releasing the album, Back On My B.S., I thought Busta Rhymes was on his way to the hip hop retirement community. This isn't the case. After dropping his latest single Why Stop Now ft. Chris Brown through new music platform Google Music, It has now been announced that Busta has officially signed to Cash Money. The last time he teamed up with a record label like this, the classic Big Bang album was produced and became one of those classics in my opinion. Former No Limit soldier has also signed to the Cash Money label. He was recently released from prison and was set to release a post-jail album with former cash money producer Manny Fresh. Stay Tuned. #nextinshow
Araabmuzik is no stranger to the hip hop world as a super producer and a mpc killer. But who knew he could be an artist himself to go with it. Since taring up beat battles and devoting his early career to Dipset, Araabmuzik now has his own album out Electronic Dream. The album is amazing from start to finish. In his early 20's now, he has begun his first World Tour and has since shut down every show. His live performance I can only imagine was orgasmic on an LA rooftop. Don't miss out.
Archy Marshall aka ZooKid aka, as of now, King Krule, has released a 5-track EP and trust me when I say that this kid is not just another musician. Although young, born 1994, his music is everything but young. He clearly has a strong jazz-influence embedded in his music. The new self-titled EP sounds almost like if Herbie Hancock and Morrissey got together and jammed. I was blown away when I heard his songs. I recently found out about him from a Fader Interview I stumbled upon on youtube. He's also the lead guitarist and vocalist in the band. Shout out to Fader, but that 'interviewer' is corny as fuck. From their I was eager to hear his music, and was not dissapointed. check out the EP available now. #nextinshow
This track sounds summertime, but really vibes with any season. A straight west coast gem is what we have right here. On November 28th Iman Omari aka Emon will release his new album Energy, so look forward to more good music from this artist. Good Joon is also an artist that should not be overlooked. Coming from the #DEST crew OverDoz, his creative wordplay and unique personality are significant factors in how he could shine as a solo artist. OverDoz is performing Live Nov. 22 at The Roxy Theater in Los Angeles California. More to come from both of these cali natives. #nextinshow
Frank Ocean was overseas to do a show in London and go hard he did. Not only did he did he perform an unreleased track called Real Love, but also decided to leak a possible upcoming album single named Disillusioned. This record could quite possibly get very heavy rotation if ever released.
4th Quarter in Music has been standing strong this year, from Coldplay's Milo Xyloto, to Drake's recently leaked/released album Take Care. November 18, 2011Rihanna's her forthcoming album Talk That Talk will be released. Here is an early review of the album. classic? Read more and find out. #exclusive #nextinshow.
You Da One is the opening track of the album and also the next single to be released for radio. Produced by Dr. Luke, this track is just the right pop for the radio. Her first single released was We Found Love, which has spent 2 consecutive weeks at number 1 on the charts. Towards the end of the song, the beat turns to a more dubstep sound, which is so hot right now. You can already see the album going in the direction of club appeal.
This brings me to the next track. Where Have You Been starts off with a thumping 2-step kick. Eventually the beat builds and climaxes with a straight electronic twist. A sidenote, Rihanna's music has done so well worldwide because it is a universal sound. If no one can relate to her lyrics, then everyone can still relate to her energetic, new-age, island sound.
The party keeps going on We Found Love. The song is produced by DJ Calvin Harris. He is featured in the music visual as well. refer to my visual review here . The title track Talk That Talk features Head Honcho Hova. Jay owns the first verse. He is always talking his talk about his dream of a life. "I talk big money, I talk big homes, I sell out arenas, I call it getting dome."
The superproducer Bangladesh, responsible for tracks like Wayne's A Milli and 6'7' has come to the pop side. Cockiness is the song. With a catchy skat sample and a nasty hook, this track will do real nice in a club/party/anywhere people wanna have a good time. "Suck my cockiness, lick my persuasion..." One of my favorite tracks at the present time.
Terius Nash aka The-Dream and Rihanna have worked together before and they happened to create one of the most recognized songs in the world, Umbrella. Now their back with Birthday Cake. Interesting though, it is just over 1 minute in length, so i'm not sure if it is supposed to be considered an interlude.
We All Want Love mellow's out the track and slows up the vibe. The song is still provides powerful lyrics as well as a hard hitting drumkit.
Earlier I stated that Cockiness was my favorite song. Well, now Drunk On Love has been listened to and replaced as the best song so far. This is for the simple fact that producer StarGate sampled and remixed The XX Intro to their debut self-titled album.
Roc Me Out sounds like a recycled track from her previous album Rated R. A darker sound and point of view from Rihanna. The track still works well with the album. Another production credit from StarGate.
The next song is probably my least favorite track. I'm sure it will be a favorite of all the women in the world. A lighter type of energy that I'm not familiar with. 10 out of 11 ain't bad.
Last track Farewell slowly starts with an arpeggio hi hat sample, followed by the drumkit. Another slow jam Rihanna takes time to vent her emotions. Like I said. 10 out of 11 is not bad for the album. This track end the album nicely and will be a look-forward-to song to be performed at her live concerts.
Talk That Talk is a perfect album for the music period we are in right now. Dance, pop, and heartfelt records is what the world needs. Don't sleep on the album. #Rihanna #nextinshow #TalkThatTalk
It's no surprise that the Westcoast has prevailed over hip hop this year. Odd Future put it on the map, kendrick lamar kept it going and now Iman Omari will take you into the future. Known for his smooth vocals and raw production, Iman has been producing records before he has decided to bless us with a solo album.
Overdoz ft Emon & Fitzroy - Massive Motion
He has featured/produced for artists like Kendrick Lamar on the song 'Chapter Ten' as well as the crew Overdoz on songs like 'Your Blowin It', and Massive Motion. So if haven't heard yet, you've now been introduced to Iman Omari aka Emon. Look out for his groundbreaking album #ENERGY coming November 28, 2011. Stay Tuned.
