Odd Future have been on the road for a few weeks now for their North American Tour, hitting places like Toronto, Miami and New York where long lost child, Earl Sweatshirt for his epic comeback. Check out footage below. For every city, a sweatshop pops up.
During a supposed photoshoot, Odd Future decides to film a live performance of the track Oldie, which is featured on the OF Tape Vol. 2. Earl must be bugging out with all the attention and fame.
Odd Future was in New York yesterday to celebrate several things. They opened their OF pop up shop in the city, they released their Odd Future Tape Vol. 2, and they brought out Earl at the show. I received a gift tonight and am excited to say that the Odd Future Mixtape Vol. 2 is worth the anticipation and hype. You might not agree with some of the things they say or do, but I think all music connoisseurs can agree that this mixtape is really a low key group album with amazing lyrical strength and high production value. The Wolf Gang released their first volume of mixtape back around this time last year. Many more members of the crew were involved in that project and was a more immature Odd Future. This time, their Mixtape Vol. 2 is on a more professional level. Songs like Analog 2 ft. Tyler, Hodgy & Syd (sequel to Tyler's Goblin; Analog) and Snow White ft. Hodgy & Frank Ocean explores more mellow musical production than just turnt up stage dive music. Tyler also explained that his upcoming album Wolf will be tuned in to a more mellow vibe sound. Greatness evolves I guess. The main MC's on the iTunes released mixtape are Hodgy Beats, Tyler The Creator, Domo Genesis and Frank Ocean. Wildboy, Taco does makes a special appearance though on the cruising slow jam Real Bitch accompanied by Hodgy.
Although OF is highly against mainstream anything they have provided a couple singles already that are perfect and radio friendly hits. Ned Flander NY and Rella both have visuals too. Right now stand out tracks that are on repeat for me personally are, Bitches ft. Hodgy Beats & Domo Genesis and Hcad ft. Hodgy, Tyler & Domo. The big dogs even allow Jasper Dolphin to do his thing. "We Got Bitches We Got Bitches..." With 18 tracks on the official tracklist, you would think it would be just a bunch of fillers and reused material, but in this case Odd Future isn't wasting anyones time with garbage releases. This mixtape is all fresh material (with the exception of Rella/Ned Flander/Forest Green). Members of the crew including Tyler, Jasper, Taco and more are getting ready to release their sketch show Loiter Squad on Comedy Central coming later this month. Always so much news with Odd Future now a days. Last month Tyler got choke slammed off the stage at The Hundreds x G Shock x Gucci Mane event, this month the young wolves are continuing on a nationwide tour. Within each city they perform at, Odd Future also is opening up pop up shops to sell and promote their merchandise. If you haven't heard, these guys are marketable as hell. Frank Ocean has had one hell of a year as a new artist, and he wasnt even nominated in the category. It's ok because what the mainstream doesn't know is that Odd Future affiliate has been named the opening act on part of Coldplay's Europe tour. Aside from that he will release the followup to his unofficially official debut album nostalgia, ultra. Frank Ocean has already been recognized as one of the hottest writers in the game and it's only the beginning.
This is another release from Wolf Gang off the upcoming Odd Future Mixtape Vol. 2. Ned Flanders features Hodgy and Tyler the bosses of the crew. Looks like a prequel to there previous release Rella. When you think of the crew Odd Future, you think of words like, hazardous, loud or dramatic. For Hodgy Beats, he tends to stay behind the scenes a bit. Like a sleeping giant, Hodgy woke up today and announced he would be releasing his Untitled EP tomorrow at 5pm PST. Mellowhype is my favorite group out right now so this ep of new music will make this birthday weekend even sweeter. On February 20th Cali's clan Odd Future will drop their long awaited second volume from the OF Mixtape Series. Tyler, The Creator dropped the official album artwork today and it features Odd Future affiliate Lucas Vercetti, Head of Merch, etc. This is perfectly released right before they start a mini-city tour a few weeks later.

From their they Odd Future takeover begins. They are done filming and set to release a new comedy show on Cartoon Network's 'Adult Swim' Channel in late March.
In April the crew is co-headlining the southern california music festival with Killa Bees, Wu-Tang Clan.
Moving on, in May Tyler is releasing his follow-up to GOBLIN with WOLF. This summer MellowHype is releasing their concept album NUMB3RS. They like The Mars Volta, but rappier. All love. If you haven't noticed, Odd Future is in the building.
Tonight, front man of Odd Future, Tyler tweeted the cover art for the gangs upcoming single called Rella releasing Monday 2.20.12. No clue what the word means, yet.

This past weekend was Grammy Weekend and everybody who was anybody was out here in Los Angeles. Some serious meetings and collaborations went down, including Kanye West linking up with Tyler The Creator and Frank Ocean in the studio. Last thursday Tyler tweeted a picture of himself and Kanye in front of a computer. Expect good things from Odd Future and G.O.O.D. Music.
Westcoast indie rapper and Odd Future affiliate, Casey Veggies starts on his path of domination with some new heat entitled Fuckin' Awe$ome produced by Dynamic Duo. Veggies is headlining his first show at The Roxy in Hollywood, CA on March 10, 2012.
Last night was a big night for the Odd Future Wolf Gang. It seemed like Tyler was kicking it with Kanye, Earl Sweatshirt mysteriously appeared in Los Angeles and Domo recorded a new track with young Wiz Khalifa. Just as mysterious as how he vanished, Earl Sweatshirt out of Odd Future camp is back home in Los Angeles, CA and reunited with his wolves. Soon after OF took over the rap map, Earl was sent off to the island of Samoa almost 5,000 miles away. People made it seem like he was kidnapped or sent away to boot camp, but in reality I think he went away to improve his skills with some sort of mentor program. Tonight Earl logged on to his official twitter account @EarlxSweat to propose the challenge of gaining 50,000 followers in exchange for new material. Well he has around 60,000 followers now and he released a new track entitled Home exclusively on his official new social network websiteTerttleFer.com Supposedly Earl will be going back to high school to get his diploma. The out of the blues and jazzy duo known as The Internet has released another visual to go with their release of their debut album Purple Naked Ladies. This time it's for the song Fastlane. Video was conceived by Syd Tha Kid and Matt Martin and directed by #nextinshow Director Matt Alonzo. This group is nothing like it's parent group, Odd Future. Maybe some inspiration from the Neptunes. First glance and Syd, you wouldn't expect such a powerful voice. It works out. She also got the cover and featured in LA Weekly in their most recent issue.
Earlier this morning Hodgy Beats released the new Mellowhype track entitled LIFT featuring OF member Domo Genesis, trippy king Juicy J and produced by other half of the hype Left Brain via YouTube. Juicy J seems to be popping up all over the place with the younger generation, especially now that he has officially signed to Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang Records. Odd Future is bringing the house down in 2012. You thought the anarchy was bad when this crew first hit the scene. Wait until Mellowhype release their forthcoming album NUMBERS coming out sometime this year.
Tyler, The Creator has had tremendous success as a solo artist and alongside his crew Odd Future. Goblin sold thousands of units with almost no promotion. None was needed because Odd Future took the world by storm. Coming off a World Tour, U.S. Tour and recently spending a weekend with OF in Brazil, Tyler settles down back home in Los Angeles, and prepares to release his forthcoming album Wolf. It was officially announced earlier this week. If your expecting Wolf to be the same horror-filled, bitch slap as Goblin, then you will be dissapointed.

“Talking about rape and cutting bodies up, it just doesn’t interest me anymore… What interests me is making weird hippie music for people to get high to. With Wolf, I’ll brag a little more, talk about money and buying shit. But not like any other rapper, I’ll be a smart-ass about it. Now it’s just girls throwing themselves at me and shit, but I got a girl back home. People who want the first album again, I can’t do that. I was 18, broke as fuck. On my third album, I have money and I’m hanging out with my idols. I can’t rap about the same shit.”

Frank Ocean was overseas to do a show in London and go hard he did. Not only did he did he perform an unreleased track called Real Love, but also decided to leak a possible upcoming album single named Disillusioned. This record could quite possibly get very heavy rotation if ever released.

It's official, Lana Del Rey has inked a deal with Interscope Records. A perfect choice for if I didn't say so myself. She has such badass music visuals and her rude attitude makes her that much hotter. I can guarantee a classic in the making for Lanaunder the Interscope umbrella.
