Will Spotify Revolutionize Streaming Music?

10 years ago, the world was introduced to a little device called the iPod. Although the idea of an mp3 player wasn't their idea, it revolutionized the way we would listen to music forever. To listen to this music void a personal player online sites have flourished among our angst and childish needs for our "favorite" songs. Using many I have dwindled down, stopped using and just recently finally found my cup of tea. Spotify.

As of July 2011 the catalog provides access to approximately 15 million songs via searching for artists, albums, titles, labels and genres. Spotify also gives users access to tracks from many major and independent labels. Now, after a decade and the mobile market booming, it's only right that a company aside from Pandora, brings us the ability to stream our music from our wireless devices. For now, this Swiss company is privately owned, and there is no future date of the company publicly sharing. Not only can you stream to your computer, but for $9.99 a month you can purchase a Premium Subscription which allows you to stream your music/playlist to any of your mobile devices (android/iPhone/iPad/etc).

This could be #nextinshow or it could be like XM Radio, which bombed.

Listen to your YouTube videos as MP3s on your #iPod and #Stereo

Hey people, in-case you didn't like carrying gigs of data on your music player due to the ease of listening to a video rather than a song you didn't pay for I have just discovered this. Will I use it, NO. However, to each their own.

Anderson Silva #knockout of Yushin Okami #Watch

For you #UFC fans out there I figured a great piece of film can also be considered any recording of a historical moment. For Anderson Silva the world best pound for pound #UFC fighter Yushin Okami was the only man to ever defeat him six years ago... Revenge is so sweet

Hurricane Irene "That Bitch" Playlist for the Hurricane

Aloha folks - In the midst of the presumed billion dollar damage costs due to Hurricane Irene... WAIT WAIT WAIT - How do they already know how much money it may be? Hmmm... Seems like they need some money somewhere and Irene is going to be the horse that cash rides in on. So because this whole hurricane thing is a big plan to get some bux without we the people giving two fux I thought it'd be appropriate to add songs dealing with political issues and hurricanes, Alice Cooper, the weather itself and of course nagging people and rageeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Bob Dylan Helps "The Hurricane"

Kyuss - Stoner Rock Music Group from Palm Desert, Ca

Der Deutschland's nur Scorpions

The Scorpions - yayyy go Germany

Probably the most relevant song haha but it had to be made this week.

Alice Cooper probably isn't correct but the Hurricane could possibly delay some school openings

REM - It's The End Of The World

Congrats to @fucktyler_ on his #MTV #Win for VMA Best New Artist

It has been quite a ride for music in 2011. The year is almost up and on Sunday August 28th The MTV Video Music Awards will determine the best video by a new artist. In  this category there are 5 talented-in-their-own-right nominees and here is a little insight on each of them, as well as their breakout  music videos.

Big Sean ft. Chris Brown - "My Last"

This is the first single off of his debut album Finally Famous, which is in stores now. The video shows Big Sean and Chris Brown flirting with girls and partying in a ginormous Hollywood Hills estate inter-cutting scenes between the two singing on the balcony. This looks like a fun music video, and to top it off, Chris Brown keeps his shirt on the whole time, unfortunately there wasn't much thought put into the idea.

Foster The People - "Pumped Up Kicks"

This video is one of those inspiring pieces that motivates you and keeps you feeling good until the end. The video is a collage of what seems to be a censored rock star lifestyle. The visual cuts between clips of the band in the studio, to them ripping waves, to clips from a live concert. A light and simple video, but playing it safe won't get you the "moon man".

Kreayshawn - "Gucci Gucci"

This petite Oakland rapper known as Kreayshawn, has stormed onto the hip-hop radar faster than you can say 'Swag'! The video follows Kreayshawn around the streets of Los Angeles, accompanied by music's hottest act Odd Future. I love everything about this video. It keeps you involved throughout the whole video. Finally the video ends at a house party. Definitely a strong contender for Best New Artist.

Wiz Khalifa - "Black and Yellow"

The Pittsburgh born rapper represents his hometown to the fullest in this video. Wiz keeps it real by taking us through the city as well as local spots he and his crew hang at. Unfortunately the song was played out quickly, due to the NFL team, The Steelers, adopting it as their theme song for every game. This is another video with not much thought behind it, although it has been viewed all over the world more than 95 million times. Good luck. Your going to need a real "Wizard" to win this category.

Winner - Tyler, The Creator - "Yonkers"

I don't want to play favorites, but this video revolutionized the way videos will be made from here on out. Concepts as well as directing was done by Wolf Haley aka Tyler. The video opens up with Tyler in a profile position with his arms placed in such a way, it almost resembles a Nazi sign. He then attempts to eat a beetle, not long after he regurgitates it back up. Throughout the whole video Tyler is standing in front of the camera, behind him a blank canvas. Next verse gets interesting. While rapping he begins to take his shirt off and you notice his pupils are fully dilated. A noose is then lowered down and by the end of the visual Tyler has wrapped the noose around his neck, stands on top of the chair and finally kicks the chair from under himself. I have provided the uncensored version of the video so you can really understand how amazing it really is. Master of creativity, I think we have our winner...

NextinShow Remembers Aaliyah

Today is the 10 year anniversary of Aaliyah after the artist passed in a horrific plane accident. The 22-year-old rising star was one of nine people aboard a twin-engine that crashed seconds after taking off from the Bahamas, according to Grand Bahama Police. All nine died. Her music is still current with what is out today. She had a style like no other. Her debut album Age Ain't Nothing but a Number, was produced and co-written by The King of The Closet, R. Kelly, and it reached #18 on the Billboard 200 selling over 3 million copies. 1996 was the year she met Missy and Timbaland, which spawned the album One in a MillionThe album initially released the single If Your Girl Only Knew, which topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for two weeks. It also generated the singles Hot like Fire and 4 Page Letter. She was an amazing singer, but not only that, a talented actress as well. In 2000, she starred in her first major movie role Romeo Must Die (A loose adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet). My Favorite album has to be her self-titled album AALIYAH, with classics such as, We Need a Resolution, Loose Rap Ft. the late Static, Rock the Boat and More Than a Woman. She really was more than a woman no pun intended. A true artist that will be missed and never forgotten.

"Tha Carter IV" Album Review

Just hours after Lil' Wayne announced he would be releasing his newest LP, "Tha Carter 4", Sunday night after the MTV VMA's, people wondered if the album could withstand being leaked until release date. Well no more speculation, the album has leaked and its now time to bring you the full review before you hear the album.

The album opens with a 3:00 Intro full of classic metaphors that will keep us entertained for the coming weeks. A producer by the name of Willy Will laces this track as well as another interlude and finally the album outro. Wayne talks for a few bars before really going in. "I put in overtime, like a tied score". This track is the setup for a classic album. No chorus is provided, just pure rhymes, which is what Wayne does so well.

The next song, Blunt Blowin, produced by Develop, is a catchy record that is perfect cruising music. The influence behind the song comes from Pat Benatar's 80's hit, Heartbreaker. "Im a Blunt Blowin, Polo draws showin'."

MegaMan follows and be prepared to break your neck. A moment of silence as a familiar sound of a lighter sparks, before the beat completely takes over. Production is courtesy of another unknown power-producer 'MegaMan'. This is one of the rare occasions Wayne speaks of his absent father, and not in a positive light, "Only 2 years old when daddy used to bring them hookers home."

6 Foot 7 Foot ft. Corey Gunz was released as the first single earlier this year and had an interesting music visual to go along with it. The video basically mimicked the movie Inception, which was still in theaters at the time. Production courtesy of Bangladesh, who also produced Wayne's "A Milli".

We got to hear a preview of Nightmares of the Bottom a couple months back, when MTV aired Lil' Wayne Unplugged. The lyrics sound pretty personal, which makes me think that he wrote this while still in prison. "I'm a gangster by choice, I hope my son's choose wiser, and don't call me sir call me survivor." Production credit is given to Snizzy and Kenoe, who is a long time No Limit Records affiliate.

She Will feat. Drake and produced by up and coming producer T-Minus, there is no doubt this album will bring the closing ceremonies to the summer. On she will Drake offers a smooth hook like always, similar to "I'm On One", but fresher. The story takes place in the strip club where Wayne and Drizzy rap to the dancers "I wish we could take off and go anywhere, but here baby you know the deal, and she bad, so maybe she won't, then again maybe she will."

How to Hate features T-Pain(Update: "How to Hate is the top 10 trending topic tonight) , auto-tuned and all. Would we expect anything less? Fortunately, no. The song sounds like a direct response to another track on the album, How to Love. In this case though, Wayne & Pain have been hurt by a woman and express themselves calmly over this beat produced by Young Fyre. "And if I sound mad then you caught me, but this should explain that your the one that taught me, how to hate a b****." Words which resemble a familiar situation in my life right now.

We are now halfway through the album - prepare to be surprised

Nowhere on this Interlude is Wayne present. Featured rapper is none other than Mr. Double Time himself, Tech N9ne and surprise guest, which I won't spoil don't worry. Here is a hint though, Wayne must feel like an Outkast, not to be a part of this track. Lol.

Another unofficial single that was released  back in May is John produced by Polow da Don featuring Maybach Music Mogul Ricky Ross. 'Rozayyy'. The song is inspired by the late John Lennon. "If I die today, remember me like John Lennon, buried in Louis I'm talkin all brown linen."

Next track, Abortion, Wayne spits truth through his words. "I know your name, your name is unimportant, we in the belly of the beast, and she thinkin' bout abortion." This is one of my favorite tracks from the album at the moment. The beat is mellow produced by StreetRunner. Wayne provides 3 verses of uninterrupted storytelling.

We haven't heard the soulful sound of John Legend in quite a while. So Special, produced by Cool n Dre, is dedicated to a special woman in Wayne's life and expresses how one night with him, and she would feel so special. Side note, a great line that stuck with me was, "she crazy about that d***, Loraina Bobitt." It is pretty rare to hear two personal tracks back-to-back on a Lil' Wayne album. As he did in AbortionWayne manages to stay on topic throughout the song. Each verse he raps about someone different that has affected his life..Including his daughter, Reginae

For the song How to Love, a sequel to How to Hate, I have previously posted about it as well as the video, which was released earlier this morning HERE.

Television soundbites of the name President Carter make up the next song President Carter. Wayne goes in on his haters and competition, if any. "I ain't lookin for the beef, but I ain't seen it in a while." Lyrics suggest that he is the leader in hip-hop(president of the US) catch my drift? An interesting fact, in almost every track you can here Weezy spark his lighter before he sets blaze to the track.

It's Good features two hip hop icons, Jadakiss from the LOX, and Drizzy Drake from YMCMB. Produced by Boi-1da, the introduction is a sample, one that I am unaware of at this time. While Jada raps about his success in the game, Drake offers us a bit of insight into how it was for Wayne while he was locked up. The concerto of strings is beautiful and mixed with the sped up high hats, it makes for a great warm-up anthem. In the third verse you I noticed that Wayne takes a direct shot at Jay-Z, as Jay did to Birdman on the track H*A*M. "Talkin' bout baby money, I got your baby money, kidnap yo bitch get that, how much you love your lady money..." Jay

The third and final beat produced by Willy Will comes in the form of the outro. This song not only goes extra hard as a perfect conclusion to this album, but the features on the track are more than one can handle at once. Bun B up first, Nasir Jones follows, Shyne, who we thought would never make another record again, gives his two cents to the track, which actually makes the track, and finally Busta Rhymes concludes this rap legend massacre. "See now i'm out the door, Tunechi thanks for giving us a whole 'nother classic with the Carter 4".

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bonus tracks include I Like the View(catchy tune "heeey i like the view from here")

Mirror feat. that damn grease lightning wannabe, Bruno Mars(This is like the only song I can stand to listen to from B. Mars)

Two Shots. This track stands out with serious swag. simple beat with drums, synth and bass.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This album will definitely be a classic in my opinion. I can't compare it to any of Wayne's early work because since the Carter III, he has had children and done time in prison. Even his flow has become more educated. All great artists grow and with growth comes new ideas and inspiration. Accept the album for what it is. A new piece of work and fresh Weezy metaphors for days.

New "ADHD" Film... Kendrick Lamar Blessings with Vashtie Eyes - Watch Now

Of course I expect you all to know who Kendrick Lamar is by now. If you don't then stop listening to music. Let's put it this way, if there was a Tupac on earth or someone as devoted to the message their song extends as much as the chorus and butts in the video, then it's this guy. I remind you however, his chorus' are still tight. Furthermore, if you don't know of him well let's just say he's helping the West Coast continue - yes continue - their domination. Hailed not just by my sentences but also by Dr. Dre and other as the games newest Pac-esque rapper. Raised on Compton, Ca he was the head of his class in high school and excelled extremely by averaging an A grade. This guy didn't give up, he got grown, and now he's making big boy music for the big boys and the kids. He has a song Keisha's Song about a young prostitute caught in society and the beasts of society that manipulate and use her making her mindset of prostitution that much more justifiable. This song could almost bring tears to a parents eyes. You'll have to listen to that words can't describe his words.

In lieu of his Section 80 album release it is time for Mr. Lamar to start dropping visuals of his mind. First up we have "ADHD" which describes what boredom and drugs can do to young 80s babies. With our eyes covered and minds closed we are dumb victims to the subtle tricks of the system and society. To help make this possible we have Vashtie a New York native who came to fame more so after her split with hip hop producer Pharrell Williams. She has created other epic displays of superb vocal visualization for example KiD CuDi's "Heaven at Night" and Jadakiss "Letter to B.I.G". Vashtie - Thank You for this

Lil' Wayne's "How to Love" Video Unexpected

Earlier this morning, August 24th 2011, Lil' Wayne mysteriously leaked his newest single off his upcoming installment in the Carter series, "Tha Carter 4". The song "How to Love", which released a couple months back, shows an interesting take on the phrase. Instead of expecting happiness and romance throughout the video, we are presented with another aspect; women who are abused physically/emotionally throughout their lives. The idea of the video came from Wayne's own brain. In an interview he had this to say about it, I can tell you that I’ve never had a single like it, and it’s an amazing song. It’s an amazing song. When I listen to it I get goose bumps and I feel like the song is gonna take me somewhere that I’ve never been musically.” What’s next for the Young Money leader? He will be making a stop on his "I Am Still Music Tour" Friday night in Los Angeles. Sunday night he will again perform in LA, but this time for The MTV Video Music Awards. It is rumored that after the show, 12:00 a.m. EST he will release his highly-anticipated album "Tha Carter 4," online only (iTunes and other mp3 stores). People don't realize that Wayne was the first to release an album available for purchase only online. Unlike another epic album which recently released, selling 700,000 copies to date, "Tha Carter 4" will release as a physical album in stores later that day.

Thanks MTV for the video

Still one question remains. Will the album hold strong without leaking, or can we expect to get an early preview before Monday?

UPDATE: "THA CARTER 4" HAS LEAKED. ALBUM REVIEW COMING SOON!

It's Official. Austin Powers 4 Will See the Light of Day

So you remember those silly movies starring that small little actor from Saturday Night Live, Mike Myers? Well in case you have been living under a rock for the last decade, those silly movies, 3 in total, grossed over 500 million dollars. The last movie Myers released was the unsuccessful comedy The Love Guru, which grossed $32,000,000(Production budget was estimated at $62 million) and nearly put him out of the industry for good. In the past few years there has been rumors of a fourth installment being produced, but all was speculation. It has just been confirmed that Myers has closed a deal with New Line Cinemas to make Austin Powers 4. No story line has been developed yet, nor has there been a release date. The Austin Powers trilogy includes Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Austin Powers In Goldmember. The last movie to release from the series was Gold member back in 2002. I think it is a perfect time to release another movie to add to this shagadelic comedy. Get ready for more Scott Evil. Yeahhh baby!

Son of a Hilfiger - Tommy doesn't rap - But his son does

Rich Hil is the son of clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger. Now that the relation has been made, we can move on). Hil is a recently-turned 21 year old 'poet' who has quite a catalog of upwards to 15 mixtapes released to date. I refer to him as a poet because his music doesn't always stay the same. It ranges from drug-induced r&b to a slur'ed up rapper style and back. I have been listening to his music for a couple years now, but what first caught my ear was when super producer 'Swizz Beatz' signed this new artist back in 2009. We are now coasting into 2012 and he is #nextinshow. As of last month, rich signed a deal with Warner Music and now is scheduled to released an official studio album. Since it's the "year of collaboration", Ricky Hil isn't missing out on his chance to make one. Coming soon a full Rich Hil x Lex Luger album (Lex Luger is responsible for Kanye's x Jay-Z 'H*A*M'). This guy is hard at work to make sure his music is heard. #nextinshow

Anne Hathaway... Wrapping Up The Paparazzi With A Rap

Oh what would life be without the hidden talents of Hollywood's A-list. I mean I feel as though I am always anticipating their antics off screen. Wait, maybe that's because everything on TV is literally every move they make, meh. Regardless of the amount of awards they have, the actor or actress who can take the most drunk and drug paraphernalia pics in a single night and skip jail on every occurrence has the Best hidden talent in my book. That until... (Trumpets) Anne Hathaway, our beloved innocent princess from just a decade ago and currently cast as Catwoman in next years Batman sequel The Dark Night Rises decided it was time to kick it up a notch. I don't mean Emeril Lagasse when I say notches either, I mean a notch on your speakers because Anne Hathaway is teaching you "how to love" or "how not to love" the paparazzi from her new set. Here ya go...

Anne Hathaway by the way is one of our favorite actresses - She keep's it real and we respect that

However Anne, I am not sure this was Lil Waynish.

Bon Iver & James Blake Collaboration Project in the Works

If you saw last weeks episode of HBO's Original Series, "Entourage," then you would have heard new artist James Blake's frightening funk of a record, "The Wilhelm Scream", which played while credits rolled. Bon Iver's frontman Justin Vernon is most famously known for working with Kanye West on such tracks like "Monster" and "Lost In The World". Earlier today James Blake posted the following tweet, "24th August 2011 - James Blake & Bon Iver 'Fall Creek Boys Choir'". Fall Creek is the name of the Wisconsin town where Justin Vernon owns a studio. This is the only information that has been released about the project so far. Stay tuned to see what unfolds.

Ross Ching IS: Hollywood's Next Best Director

A love for film keeps us in dire search for new eye tantalizing projects day by day. There is nothing as magnificent as the process in which an individuals mind and imagination comes up with a visualization so great that there literally are no words to say. We take into consideration the vast aspects of direction and production that's coincides with the precious time needed to produce such art, and we applaud their hard work. Our appreciation for noble film art is the reason we are proud to present to you...

ROSS CHING

It wasn't to long ago the world was hearing about the "Carmegeddon" which was to cripple Los Angeles for a weekend. Basically in a nut shell they were doing repairs on a major highway in Los Angeles, the most major highway in Los Angeles. So what do I do being from Los Angeles but away from the excitement? I go online and look to see what people are saying and viola, Ross Ching was buzzin. So I took myself to Ross's page after seeing the video "Running On Empty" and was amazed as to what I found. This guy has done everything from commercials to music videos and has worked with the likes of ADIDAS to UNCLE KRACKER. If I had an opportunity to meet Ross I would love that conversation I'm sure, but for now Ross you are definitely the Next In Show

"Running On Empty"
Running on Empty from Ross Ching on Vimeo.

On the Ross Ching website he has listed 25 things about himself: Here they are

1. I hate when people email me and then send me a text message saying they emailed me.
2. I used to be able to run a lap in 52 seconds.
3. I think the internet has taught me more about life than any amount of school ever will.
4. I hate weak spoons, because whenever I scoop ice cream they bend.
5. I can rip a phone book in half. Don’t believe me? Bring a phone book with you the next time you see me.
6. One of the most annoying things anyone can do is flake last minute with a lame excuse.
7. When I was a kid I once ate 9 bowls of ice cream in a day.
8. I once tracked how fast i could go on a snowboard; about 65 mph.
9. I hate when people I hardly ever talk to ask me to fix their computer. If I’m good friends with you, I’ll offer.
10. I judge people by what email account they have. If you use Hotmail I automatically assume that I shouldn’t trust you with anything electronic.
11. When I was a kid, I thought the TV Guide people could tell the future and publish what what was going to appear on tv for the week.
12. The absolute most annoying thing anyone can do is not return a call/email/message.
13. In my last year of college I took about a total of 5 pages of notes.
14. I’ve never stayed awake for more than 23 hours straight.
15. I use cruise control as much as possible; even if I’m driving down a residential street at 25 mph.
16. I hate how commercials are so much louder than the actual shows. It makes me want to buy their product less.
17. If you ever go to an airport and set the metal detector off, I hate you. Is it really that hard to take stuff made of metal out of your pockets?
18. I hate when girls call themselves fat when they’re obviously not.
19. I’m a fan of musicals.
20. I don’t think I could ever go more than a week without the internet.
21. To the people who have bought stuff from spam emails, I hate you.
22. When I was a kid, my parents would tell me I made the best coffee just so I would make it for them.
23. My most creative thinking always comes when I’m driving a car. The problem is that I can’t write these ideas down and I forget a lot of them.
24. I once burned one of my eye brows trying to light gun powder with a match. Luckily I didn’t have thick eye brows so nobody noticed.
25. I once found a quarter on the ground.

Kanye West x Jay-Z "Watch The Throne" Tour Dates

TOUR DATES INSIDE

There has been a lot of rumored talks about album pushbacks, creative differences and even thoughts to scrap the whole project. Finally on August 8, 2011 Kanye West & Jay-Z brought to you 'Watch The Throne'. This project was an idea at least a year in the making and now it finally seems the perfect time to drop a collaboration album. Elliott Wilson, founder of hip-hop blog Rap Radar, thinks rap needs more collaboration, and in the past few years, too much attention has been paid to soloists. "You know what's lost in hip-hop is the group dynamic," he said before using the Throne's latest single to illustrate his point. "The reason I love 'Otis' a lot is it's so traditional, but yet innovative in a lot of ways. I think the tradition is MC back and forth, pass the mic."

To go along with this monumental record, the duo has also set a nationwide tour that kicks off October 28. If you can't make the live show, there will be an exclusive way to see check it out live from your home. Fans will be able to follow the tour live via webcasts for $3.99.

Lights. Camera. Accessories. Hollywood here you come...

Here ye Here ye To every lady, I have found something that may interest you.

OK, so Michael Vick, yes the best QB in the NFL, his wife has an online store. Kijafa Frink is his fiance, she has two girls with Mike Vick and has recently started this entrepreneurship with Blair Sandlain. Both are experts in what they do, Kijafa with her marketing expertise and Blair with her vast knowledge and expertise in the fashion world. Their mission, to offer flirty, innovative and fun accessories that seem to be non-existent. One would easily assume, two fashion divas, trend setters with high class taste, wow this is going to be pricey. Ehhhttt(FamilyFeudBuzzerNoise) I've done my searching and as promised and advertised on their site and marketing campaigns these accessories are IN, NEW and by all means AFFORDABLE.

Just being around models, musicians and film people a lot I see a lot of the same accessories ex. the black leather strap with studs, or the average stud or pearl earring, so I understand the concept and reason. I have searched the site and they do have extraordinary items such as the "4 Fingers of a skull and flowers ring". I expect this brand to sell and to sell hard. Mike Vick is winning.

Odd Future Set For Another Tour Again!!! This Time Showing Love To The USA

The spotlight in hip-hop this past year has been on OFWGKTA aka Odd Future. They started off with a swagged out set at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California earlier this year, then group member, Tyler the Creator, dropped an earth-shattering, internet-buzzed, kanye-praised, music video 'Yonkers' from his solo debut GOBLIN. Next they embarked on a two-month European/Japan tour, which is ongoing until the end of August. Don't forget about  HodyBeats and MellowHype officially re-releasing their album, BLACKENEDWHITE. Now it is time to bring the wild bunch through the states. Be sure to check Odd Future out live. Words really cannot explain how epic and inspirational their shows can be.
